The History of Fletcher Painting Company
John Fletcher, the company's founder, has over 25 years experience in the Painting Industry. John was born and raised in New Zealand. After finishing school he completed a 4 1/2 year apprenticeship in Painting & Decorating. As a young man in New Zealand, John did what many other New Zealanders do, bought a ticket around the world and took off for his "OE' (overseas experience).
John's travels took him to Australia, Canada, Mexico, South America, and the United States. While travelling abroad, John was able to continue to work in his field of painting and decorating and gained valuable experience and knowledge working with many skilled craftsmen on many different projects.
While John was in the U.S. he met his wife Kelly. In 1990 they went back to New Zealand for a holiday. 7 years, and 2 children later, they decided to move back to the States to be near Kelly's family in the Pacific Northwest.
John ran a successful Painting company while he was in New Zealand and after moving to the Pacific Northwest he established Fletcher Painting Company in 1998.
