Dry Rot Repairs on Exterior Painting Project in Felida, WA

Dry Rot Repairs on Exterior Painting Project in Felida, WA

We were scheduled to paint the exterior of this home in Felida, WA late last year. When we first looked at the project for an estimate, we noted some trim around the entry window had some dry rot. We identified the repair to our customer and planned to complete the repair as part of our preparation process.

Once we began to remove the dry rot trim around the window it became obvious the dry rot was more extensive behind the trim.

The sheathing also had dry rot due to moisture migrating in behind the siding. Our team removed all the decayed areas, replaced the sheathing, installed new moisture barrier, flashed the windows trim and installed new siding to complete the repair.

All this work was completed by our staff. We also performed an exterior painting and our customer was very satisfied with the whole experience.
